Here are some commonly used expressions, when working with TYPO3. Check out our dictionary for a deep dive.
Frontend - this is referring to the front of the website, which can be viewed by visitors.
Backend - this is the TYPO3 workspace, where you edit your content.
Filelist - here you can upload all files that will be used on the website.
Elements - these are the building blocks for the content on your pages.
Plugin - Extension modules for example news, Google maps and product module.
Page tree - This is the tree that represents the page structure, which the website is built on.
Grid elements - these elements can be used to divide the content areas in different ways. You can for example use the column elements both with fixed ratios and dynamic ratios. The grid elements also contain functions like collapsible content and tabs.
